Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. महानगर निकाय चुनाव के सह प्रभारी सुरेश तिवारी ने ब्रज क्षेत्र कार्यालय पर प्रातः 11:00 से 5:30 बजे तक निकाय चुनाव की दृष्टि से महापौर और पार्षद पद के 100 वार्डों में चुनाव लड़ने वाले प्रत्याशियों के आवेदन प्राप्त किए। बृज क्षेत्र कार्यालय पर टिकट मांगने वालों की भीड़ रही। ज्यादातर वर्तमान पार्षद अपनी पत्नी के लिए टिकट मांगते हुए देखे गए। भाजपा ने तय किय है कि महिला वार्ड में महिला कार्यकर्ता ही चुनाव लड़ेगी न कि किसी नेता की पत्नी। इसी कारण अनेक नेता निराश दिखाई दिए।
महानगर आगरा के निकाय चुनाव के सह प्रभारी सुरेश तिवारी ने कहा- नगर निगम चुनाव की घोषणा लगभग हो चुकी है। अधिसूचना जारी होने वाली है । उत्तर प्रदेश के सभी नगर निगमों में भारतीय जनता पार्टी प्रचंड बहुमत से जीतने जा रही है। उन्हें आगरा नगर निगम को जिताने की जिम्मेदारी प्रदेश संगठन के द्वारा दी गई है।
उन्होंने कहा- मैंने पिछले 11 और 12 दिन के अंदर कार्यकर्ताओं का जो जनसैलाब देखा है, उसे देखकर ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि यह वह कार्यकर्ता है जो पिछले चुनावों में भारतीय जनता पार्टी का परचम फहराते चले आ रहे हैं। कार्यकर्ता आगे आने वाले नगर निगम चुनाव में भी इसी तरह से भारतीय जनता पार्टी का परचम फहराने जा रहे हैं। भारतीय जनता पार्टी का प्रत्येक कार्यकर्ता पूरे दमखम के साथ अपने वार्ड को जिताने के लिए तत्पर हैं।
इस बार भारतीय जनता पार्टी 100 वार्डों में से लगभग 80% वार्डों मैं विजय प्राप्त करेगी। इस मौके पर मुख्य रूप से नवल तिवारी ब्रज क्षेत्र मीडिया प्रभारी, संजीव भारद्वाज कार्यालय मंत्री, हरिओम शर्मा, मुकुल फौजदार, राजा आदि उपस्थित रहे।
