In December 2023, a couple – a husband aged 42 years and his wife aged 38 years, had no children despite being married for 15 years and having a history of 4 failed IVF cycles approached Dr Nikhil for treatment.  We recommended her to undergo another IVF cycle with us.

We evaluated the couple thoroughly and performed an IVF cycle using our expertise and experience. Fortunately, she conceived in February 2024.  Unfortunately, there was a complication viz., a pregnancy in the uterus and another baby in the right fallopian tube. Dr Nikhil Chitnis recommended removing the pregnancy in the right fallopian tube while saving the pregnancy in the uterus.

He proceeded with the laparoscopic removal of the ectopic pregnancy when the fetus was seven weeks old. The procedure to remove the ectopic pregnancy went well and Dr Chitnis was able to save the intrauterine pregnancy. The mother’s condition is stable. The mother is experiencing a complication-free pregnancy in the first trimester.
