Tobacco not only damages our lungs and increases the risk of life-threatening diseases but also affects the health of those exposed to second-hand smoke. The harmful effect of consuming tobacco ranges from very high risk of oral cavity cancer, respiratory and other cancers, cardiovascular diseases, and reproductive issues to a weakened immune system. By understanding the gravity of these health risks and economic and social burden to society, and making a commitment to reduce tobacco use, we can pave the way for a healthier future, free from the shackles of tobacco addiction.”
